Korn’s Jonathan Davis Derides Obama as “Illuminati Puppet” Korn’s Jonathan Davis Derides Obama as “Illuminati Puppet”

We know most of our readers have long since given up on the band that gave us such Drop D gems as “Faget” and “Porno Creep” but they’re still around, somehow and are about to release a new disc The Path of Totality. In anticipation of their new record, lead dread Jonathan Davis offered Billboard a delightful bit of the good old-fashioned political rhetoric that’s kept teenage upstarts and internet scholars in the red for years by discussing the track “Illuminati”: “I feel like Obama’s an Illuminati puppet… it’s basically dragged this country down into the worst it’s ever been. ‘You’ve built this house of shame’ — the White House used to be, everybody looked up at the White House and America and everything, and now I think it’s like a house of shame.” Munky and Fieldy remained surprisingly mute on the subject.

Most of your readers (if not all) have gravitated instead to bands like Muse (aka Ultravox wannabes) and can do nothing but lie, exaggerate and generalize when it comes to Korn’s music. I have no time or tolerance for egotists with a bloated sense of self importance who are really just intellectually inferior in every way, not to mention ignorant and uninformed. 🙂

God forbid somebody doesn’t have their tongue up Obama’s ass. It’s perfectly acceptable for everybody under the sun (especially celebrities) to criticize Bush (which I actually agree with, because he was a horrible president), but as soon as someone dares criticize the almighty deified one, all hell breaks loose.

LOL – I think there is some weall-earned derision toward Jonathan’s remarks that has less to do with politics (as the first commentor suggested) and more to do with the drug culture, conspiracy nut laden term “Illuminati Puppet”.

I’m sure if you want to smoke pot and sit around reading Robert Anton Wilson novels believing they hold some secret knowledge, then such terms are endearing.

To those of us who inhabit a slightly larger scope of learning and experience, however, it sort of marks you as a nut.
