241ers' Last Stand - Live @ ABC No Rio
May 24th was the last stand of the 241ers. In the stark, stenciled hall of ABC No Rio four men played. Just fucking played. As they do every day. As they have for years in the Stockyard Stoics, the Filaments, the Rickets, the Ready Men. On the floors of a hundred dusty houses. Across the ill-lit stages of the world.
And it was as perfect as it ought to be.
No bangs. No whimpers. No tears. No hyperbole. Just ten songs played in earnest by a band still kicking the ghost of Reagan. Still raising their fists in deference to the dream that one day the revolution will come if we only sing along.
And so I did.
