Tin Ear Tuesday – Fun Fun Fun Fest Edition Tin Ear Tuesday – Fun Fun Fun Fest Edition

In an effort to keep from going into full-on Fun Fun Fun fucking overkill, I’m going to do this little Tin Ear write up a little differently in that I’m not much going to do one at all. All the bands on this mix have been covered on this site through rave reviews (Future Islands by Kaptain Carbon and yours truly), prior Tin Ears (The Joy Formidable, Dan Deacon) or the myriad of clips and quips that constitute theOrange, Blue and Black Stage previews. Some of these bands (Public Enemy, Slayer) you should really already know. So I’m not going to bore you with more details this evening. There’s a mix above and at the bottom compiling some of the bands I’m over the moon to be seeing in Austin this weekend. In between, you’ll find the tracklisting. Again, this is just a small sampling of the many, many, many artists appearing as part of Fun Fun Fun Fest. I think there might still be tickets left. If you get on a Greyhound NOW, you might just make it.

And I’d like to offer my apologies to anyone who was expecting to hear spoken word, comedy or human bondage representing the Yellow Stage but even my collection has it’s limitations. Rock it.
