Outside Lands Announces 2013 Lineup! Outside Lands Announces 2013 Lineup!

723Holy Moly everyone, Here it is. Outside Lands in sunny sunny San Francisco which just looks like a few days of extravagant gluttony, hip art, and a high profile “this cant be real” music schedule. Please let Paul McCartney and Nine Inch Nails do an encore with each other. Please. If your going to this world ending Bacchanalia that shatters all thin lines between mainstream, midrange, and underground music, be sure to catch some of the earlier acts like The Men, King tuff The Growlers, and holy crap is that Fishbone on the bill?

    please do a better job of the line-up for nextyear; you guys(another planet entertainment) were awesome the last two years. Don’t let goldenvoice ruin a good thing like they have in coachella. the stones are on tour, bob seger, fleetwood mac, metric, new order, green day, the killers, so may good acts. Vampire weeekend, kaskade, really? bumblegum music. you will be lucky to sell out this year.

    @CGONE Goldenvoice has absolutely nothing to do with Outside Lands. Nine Inch Nails and Paul McCartney are huge gets. RHCP and Greenday are the same level of band, and while I do agree that Green Day’s bay area roots would make for a bigger splash I don’t think it matters too much.
    I guess what I’m trying to say is chill out.

  • CGONE says:

    IN REGARDS TO YOUR RESPONSE BEN; CHECK YOUR SOURCES BEFORE YOU COMMIT TO OPINING OR BLOGGING. THERE AN ARTISTIC AND BUSINESS COLLABORATION BETWEEN GOLDEN VOICE AND ANOTHER PLANET. JUST GOOGLE THE PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN THE TWO. AND SO FAR AS PAUL MCCARTNEY AND NIN. I HOPE YOU ENJOY PAUL’S TIRED BALLADS AND COMPROMISED VOCALS. NIN ONLY RELEVANT IN THE 90’S NOTHING REAL EXCITING SINCE. SO BOW DOWN AND GET WHAT YOU DESERVE.DON’T WORRY I AM CHILLIN.

    I agree that the line up sucks. I am not interested in flying all the way to San Francisco just to see the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Nine Inch Nails. I am struggling to figure out what other bands to see on that three day weekend. Maybe I should go to Alcatraz, that’s way heavier than this line up.

  • Ben says:

    @Dragonfly,
    We’ll be running previews of some bands we’re looking forward to at OSL starting next week. Make sure to check them out if you’re on the fence. I will tell you that lineup aside the OSL festival itself is now the most unique and best in the states. I’m talking about Winelands (with distinguished vinyards from all over Napa), Beerlands, the best food at any festival ever and oh by the way you’re in the splender of Golden Gate park where you can breathe in the Pacific.

    These are just some mid to opening lineup bands I’ll be seeing:

    Kurt Vile
    Jurassic 5
    Smith Westerns
    Wavves
    Gary Clark Jr.
    King Tuff
    The Growlers
    Wavves
