Baby, it’s cold outside. So very cold. So windy and snowing and bitter and tomorrow they tell me it will rain by day and freeze over at night and then it will be snowing again and, yes, I understand that a lifestyle based in the Northeast demands a certain tolerance for long, grey unpleasantries but FUCK MAN! Enough is enough. I mean, it wouldn’t be so bad, I guess if I could curl up on the couch with the lady and the dogs and binge watch the Criterion Collection over cocoa and popcorn and various states of undress but there just isn’t enough in the cookie jar to stay sexy and sedentary for months on end but, at least, we have Bouquet whose new track “Come to Your House” (off In a Dream, due 3.31 on Ulrike / Folktale Records) offers up the dreamy love and synth pulse of bygone titans like Young Marble Giants and Slumber Party and is just the perfect little bit of peace for those inclined to avant cuddling. You can hear that song below and then go see them play if you have the fortune of enjoying California’s sun and shine and drought (jerks). Rockit.
