Ed. Note: Sometimes, you wake to find yourself awash in an ocean of riches. Some would call it an embarrassment but I find the term offensive. There’s nothing embarrassing about swimming through vast wonder, and pleasure, and gifts, seemingly plucked from the ether of time by the benevolent hand of the universe. They’re just for you and whomever might be waxing the apple of your eye. Sometimes, if you’re Kishi Bashi, you rise up from that sea with a glittering fiddle to share a new convention of pop music through pedals and loops and a new morning tenor. And sometimes, just sometimes, you find yourself on stage at the hallowed House of Blues shored up by the New England dream that is Guster and Sean Berry is there to encapsulate the magic as best he can as a mortal man (which is to say, pretty damn eloquently) and all is right with the world another evening. You know what I mean? Now please dig, if you will, these pictures.
