Jamaica Announces North American Tour Jamaica Announces North American Tour

Don’t be fooled by the name, Jamaica (formerly known as Poney Poney) is not a reggae band.  They are a European electro-pop band hailing from France and have recently announced their first tour in North America in support of their new EP Cross The Fader.  The album was co-produced by Xavier de Rosnay of Justice and is scheduled to release October 18th.  The tour kickoff show will take place tonight in San Diego at the spankin’ new venue Soundwave, continuing on to play shows at San Francisco’s Treasure Island Festival and the ‘Making Time’ club night in Philadelphia before their grand finale the CMJ Festival in New York on October 23rd.  Check out the full tour dates below.

Jamaica’s dynamic duo, Antoine Hilaire and Florent Lyonnet, are Parisians specializing in ear candy and dance floor delicacies.  They have mastered the melding of American-style rock ‘n’ roll guitars garnished with sugary pop pastries to deliver a universally appealing sound that is sure to take North America by storm.
